Introduction

Edgar Allan Poe was one of America's most prolific writers. He is well known for his poetry as well as his macabre tales.

Writers write to entertain as well as to deliver a message to the reader. Sometimes, the message is direct, and other times the reader must determine the message by clues within the story.

This WebQuest is a study of the dichotomy in human nature as portrayed in Edgar Allan Poe's short story,"William Wilson." Upon its completion, you will be able to meet the following California Content Standards for 11th Grade Language Arts:
