1. Use the Story Craft guide to help you create your own science-fiction adventure story including what you learned about:
- elements of a story
- dimensions
- space and our solar system
- vocabulary words
2. Create a board game
that sequences the entire story. Include the following elements:
- All the various settings
- questions about characters, setting and plot of the story
- vocabulary words
- Math concepts
- questions about historical figures mentioned in the book.
- rules of the game
3. Use PowerPoint or Hyperstudio to create a virtual museum with rooms to display artifacts from each of the places the kids visited.
- You create the artifacts
- Write a paragraph explaining each artifact and its use or value.
4. Create a comic book that illustrates the story. Show the main events that occur on each planet. Use a draw program to create your own images, or draw them by hand and scan them into your document.
5. Make character puppets and perform a puppet show of the story. You must write the script in a word processor.
6. Gather some clipart from the Internet to help you create a shoebox diorama depicting four scenes form the story.
7. Use Puzzlemaker to create a giant crossword puzzle making use of the vocabulary, literary and scientific concepts you learned from reading this book.
