1. Use HyperStudio or PowerPoint to create a multi-media slide presentation of information you glean from research on:

Channel Islands San Nicolas Island Chumash Indians Aleut Heritage California Missions

Sea Otters Sea Elephants Dolphins        Fishing for Facts Cormorants California Indian Basketry

2. Create a shoebox or webpage virtual museum displaying artifacts repesenting Karana's life on the island.    Be sure to write a brief description of each item.  Show such things as:

• the clothing,  jewelry, tools, utensils and weapons she made.

• the house and canoe she built

• the animals she befriended
